Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has invited online applications for the post of Inspector of Factories in A.P. Factories Service. A total of 12 vacancies have been announced under Notification No. 14/2026 dated 13 October 2026.

Eligible candidates can apply online from 13 October 2026 to 2 November 2026. Candidates must have an engineering degree in the prescribed discipline and at least two years of industrial work experience.

The post is a zonal post. The detailed zone-wise and category-wise vacancy distribution is provided in Annexure-I of the official notification.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a degree in any one of the following engineering disciplines from a recognized university or institution:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Industrial Engineering

Work Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of two years of industrial work experience in medium and large-scale manufacturing process industries. Experience in Industrial Safety, Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Management is preferred.

The experience certificate must be issued by the Chief Executive of the industry where the candidate is employed.

Examination Fee Exemption: SC, ST, BC and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempt from the examination fee, subject to the conditions in the notification. Eligible Andhra Pradesh residents holding a Household Supply White Card and eligible unemployed youth may also qualify for exemption.

Applicants from other states must follow the fee and reservation rules mentioned in the official notification.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on the written examination. Candidates shortlisted for the next stage must qualify the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).

Candidates may select three examination centre preferences. The final centre will be allotted by APPSC depending on availability.

2. Complete One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) if you do not already have an OTPR ID.
3. Log in with your OTPR ID and password.
4. Open the Online Application Submission section.
5. Select Notification No. 14/2026 for Inspector of Factories.
6. Fill in the application form and check all details carefully.
7. Enter the required qualification, experience and local status details.
8. Click Save & Submit to generate the payment link.
9. Pay the applicable fee and save the final application form.

Important: OTPR registration or saving the application alone does not complete the process. Candidates must click Save & Submit and complete the required payment process.
